Oh gosh, good luck with your trip! It’s an 8 hour drive when we go to see my family. We stop halfway now because the drive gets so bad with my daughter. Luckily we have a good friend close to that halfway point, so we just spend a day there and then continue on our way. One thing that works great sometimes when your baby gets cranky is “dangle feeding”. You literally hang yourself over the car seat and breastfeed them in their car seat. Just make sure you do it when there’s no traffic around!

I had to do this so many times with my oldest when we were traveling for work and in the car for so long! It works but your back … ouch

I have tried that so many times and he does not budge! 
he like to being laying down sideways to breastfeed I have no clue why hahah or if I hold him and there are no distractions around for him to get excited about

Aww that’s so sweet he just wants to be held while he nurses! It’s so frustrating when they’re distracted. My grandparents are in town, and my husband wants me to nurse in the bedroom. I tried and she felt like she was missing out so she wouldn’t latch. My grandparents don’t mind it, so I just nurse in front of them, and my daughter does great

I tried nursing covers and he just wasn’t into them so I nurse in front of anyone now hahaha it’s like sorry but my boobs coming out, not an option

He’s does get distracted if there are people around who he doesn’t know though

Nursing covers definitely complicate things! I wouldn’t want a blanket draped over myself while eating either! Especially when it’s hot

Maybe those fans in his carrier will help this that I don’t think they would fit under a nursing cover though

Have you tried nursing him in the carrier? It’s totally doable if you have him facing you. Then you could clip the fan onto the carrier to keep him cool! It’s pretty discreet if no one is paying attention

I am so bad at it !!! I need to practice more but that sounds like something I need to get down for summer time hahaha I don’t understand how to lower him correctly honestly

I practiced at home. I just hold my boob up so she can reach it. Then you don’t have to adjust the carrier

Good thing by boobs are long and mobile now okay I’ll try it today I just got that fan so I’m excited for it to come on !! I hope this works
