Sleeping My Velcro Baby

I could really use help with my husband learning how to effectively transfer our sleeping baby to his crib or playard or learning how to sleep him.

Currently our velcro baby only likes contact naps on mama and I would really like to get back in the gym or be able to get up to use the bathroom easily when I would like :rofl:

Our baby was the same way ! He finally got it down! Just think it’s a learning curve and I swear our boy could sense when he was away from me every second but it got better for us

Hang in there mama

Velcro babies are hard! My oldest wouldn’t let anyone but her daddy and I hold her because she was used to it just being us (we were 12 hrs away from family for his job)when we got to go back home she finally got the where she would let other people help with her and me not have to constantly hold her.

I love the snuggles so much!! It’s just hard when I have to pump all day cause we’re having nursing issues with low transfer. If we could just transfer him successfully while I pump, it would be huge!

Oh yes, I swear he’s training himself to not be away from mama hahaha. Everytime we find something that works, he figures it out. Even now the only time he sleeps off me during the day is in our walk and now he wakes up as soon as we get home so I can’t leave him sleeping in the bassinet a little longer while I pump. I love all my time with him though, he’s so precious!

I’m really hoping he adjusts soon because I go back to work in 2 weeks (ughhhhhhh!). My husband will be home with him for 3 and I work from home so I’ll be there, but then he’s off to daycare and we need him to nap for others. We did see the infant worker contact napping one of the little ones when we were there for our tour so I think they will be great with him.

100 percent why I got a portable slim pump because I had no other option  love our time but I feel you so much

I know how it is! My baby would only do contact naps until she was 6 months old. It’s definitely frustrating when they wake up the second you try to put them in their bed. I would just try every so often to put your baby in the crib to see if they stay asleep. It will eventually happen. In the meantime, just get a good little setup for yourself to be comfortable! I put a rocking recliner in the bedroom and would just watch tv. I had a little side table for snacks, drinks, and my phone. Good luck!

I wish I could get good output with the wearables to make this easier! It would make such a difference. I’ve tried the willow 360 and Momcozy W1 and waiting on another brand to come to try out. But I can’t keep buying pumps :rofl::rofl: I’ve got daycare to pay for soon! Haha

You have the two pumps I want more than anything hahahahahah but that’s so valid I feel you ! I have the Air1 and I’m just lucky enough to respond well to it! I know not everyone else does though so i feel you.

So we probably messed this up but somehow his crib and play yards have become “the poopy crib” and it’s where he goes to work on the poopy. Whoops!

It’s crazy cause at night, he goes in his bassinet and sleeps for 9-10 hours with no issues at all. Hoping this will still work when he outgrows the bassinet!

I will say the willow 360 pumping straight into the bags is really nice!

The poopy crib! :joy::joy:

That’s good that he’s sleeping 9-10 hours at night though. Mine still wakes up to nurse every 2 hours, and she’s 16 months old.im glad yall are able to get some sleep at night

I wish your husband cracks the code soon for your sanity! :mechanical_arm::baby_bottle: I wish all fathers (including mine!) could figure out that magic trick.

Today’s challenge is we have a lactation consultant coming and we have to not pump, nurse or bottle feed from 12-2pm and I only know how to sleep him during the day by comfort nursing :sob::sob::sob:

Wish us luck!! We’re almost there!
