I love cooking and baking and it relaxes me and I enjoy it so much it is something that I do for myself it is a part of who I am and not just something that I have to do for my family. Growing up my grandmother taught me how to cook and it became our thing over the years sharing recipes and cooking together or calling asking her how to make something and I miss her so much. I try to involve my kids as much as I can in the kitchen because they love it as well. It may take a little longer and be a little messier but it is so worth it and I find that they are more willing to try things if they got to help make it. I love the memories we are making and hopefully when they grow up It will be just as important memories to them as it was with me.
We made mixed berry muffins in our mini Bundt cake pan
Most days it is a rush around here too. I have freezer meals for those days when I cook I try to make a few things to freeze for our busy days and it has Helped so much
Those are such sweet memories you are making with your children! We want to do the same with my daughter when she gets a little older. I think the key is to start early so they will always enjoy cooking
They love it. My oldest has to watch princess and the frog now every time we make gumbo because I let her watch it one time while I was cooking gumbo and they were making gumbo too and that is how I got her to try it and she loved it!
