What helped me with my breastfeeding journey

Each breastfeeding journey is unique. I had a completely different journey with each of my 3 boys. With my 1st it took about a week to get adjusted, but then I became an over-supplier. My my youngest he caught on so quickly and it was my smoothes journey.

Then there was my middle child. This journey was a struggle, but I was determined I was not going to give up. He struggled getting his latch just right, then when he perfected his latch it seemed like I was not producing enough as he was still fussy while on the breast and he was always hungry. I was a “just enougher” with him.

My husband and friends we such a huge emotional support during this time. Reminding me that I need to relax and make sure I was taking care of myself as well, because if Im not taking care of my body I won’t be able to provide for my babies. They were always so encouraging and whenever I would get down or feel disappointed they would remind me that I was doing a great job.

Here’s your reminder moms, dont forget to breath and take care of your mental health. You are doing an amazing job no matter how much you are producing!
