During my first breastfeeding journey i did not know anything about pumping really. My first daughter was exclusively breastfed and it was the hardest thing that I did mentally. With her not taking a bottle I constantly felt “trapped”. I had no help and no support. If I was taking a shower and the baby started crying my husband was busting in the bathroom with the baby forcing me to stop my shower just to feed. I fell deep into postpartum depression during this phase of my life and didn’t get help from my PCP until 9 months in! I am currently on my second journey and im pretty much a exclusive pumper with occasional nursing. This journey is so different because my baby is drinking bottles. Staying fuller longer. My husband can feed the baby and no longer interrupts my showers. I had to have a long conversation with him when starting this journey and things have changed for the better. My mental health is a lot better than what it would be. Im no longer feeling trapped or overwhelmed. Pumping is hard dont get me wrong. But I would rather follow a schedule than feel like Im no longer a person just a cow with utters

It is crazy how every breastfeeding journey is different I have 3 kids and they have all been so different
So happy you found freedom, better support, and a rhythm that lets you breathe this time! Wearables are amazing
The feeling trapped is so real!
My first journey I EP, my second I started off EBF and man was it such a difference. I couldn’t go anywhere or do anything without having to stop to feed my baby. I realized how hard it was and accepted that it was okay to also give bottles when I need to get things done or just simply need a break.
