🪭 What's been going on 🪭

lately, i’ve been trying to be more intentional about what i eat more fresh foods, vegetables, protein, beans, fruit, more cooking at home, and definitely more water.

for the past few weeks (honestly, maybe months), i’ve been feeling so tired, even though i take my vitamins every day. after talking with my therapist and my ob/gyn, i got some labs done and found out i was low in iron and vitamin d3.

i was honestly surprised because i thought my postnatal vitamins were covering everything. but breastfeeding can put extra demands on your body, and sometimes you simply need more of certain nutrients. my doctor added iron, vitamin d3, and magnesium, and i’ve already noticed a difference in my energy. (yaaay)

i’m still tired because… mom life DUH but i feel like i actually have the energy to do things again, and that makes me so happy.

i’ve also been making little fruit + greek yogurt bowls in the afternoon with blueberries, strawberries, grapes, granola, and a little maple syrup. simple, fresh, and so good. :blueberries::strawberry::grapes:

i’m giving myself grace through all of this, too. the house can wait. the laundry can wait. my baby is growing way too fast, and right now i want to enjoy these moments with him and my partner while i can.

if you’ve been feeling unusually exhausted, listen to your body and talk to your doctor. sometimes it really can be something as simple as a vitamin deficiency and you might not even know it.:people_hugging::heart:

I’m so glad you went to the doctors and found out why you are so tired! Being deficient can be so challenging. I get low iron every once and a while so I know how tired it can make you.
