One thing about me is that I am a very open & honest person. Especially when it comes to the harshness that life can throw at you, so I wanted to take a moment and share a part of my story & just remind everyone that if you’re ever feeling alone, and need someone to talk to I am always available, and I am never going to judge you for anything you need to talk about.
Something not many people know about me, is that when I was pregnant with my Aug ‘24 baby, my boyfriend (now fiancé ) had only been together for 7 months. I was actually in the middle of a very messy separation/divorce. I hadn’t talked to my ex since the day we split up, aside from emails regarding our divorce. When I found out I was pregnant, I new we needed to get everything filed right away, mostly because it needed to be done & because who wants to be married to some crazy man you haven’t spoken to in over a year It wasn’t a great situation to be in, whatsoever, and I know it’s probably frowned upon by a lot of people, but that’s life. A few weeks after I found out I was pregnant, I got a phone call from my exes friend telling me that he has unfortunately passed away in an incredibly awful, tragic way. (Please do not offer any form of sympathy, I mourned the loss of him years before he passed) But it was still incredibly hard to navigate, especially while pregnant, and especialllllly being in an entirely new, fresh relationship.
When I tell ya I’ve been through a lot in my 30 years, I absolutely mean it. So if you ever feel alone, and just need a friend to listen to you, just know that I am here for you. Pregnancy and Postpartum were some of the hardest times in life for me, and I will always do whatever I can to help someone feel a little less lonely.
You are amazing for sharing your story and for helping mommas not feel alone! I am sorry that you have had a hard life nobody deserves that, you are such a strong person!
Thank you!! My biggest goal lately is to just make sure no one feels alone when going through life’s hardships. I know it’s easier said than done, but one thing I’ve learned is that sharing the hard parts I’ve gone through, helps people open up a little bit more about things they may be struggling with.
My partner and father of my child actually had a pregnancy when we were also together for only about 6 months and unfortunately it didn’t work out and I was incredibly depressed for years over it but I healed with a lot of help from my therapist and now we welcomed our son last October and have been together for 5 five years it’s been great and I feel so incredibly lucky thanks for sharing your story so others can open up and share theirs you are so strong and it’s quite amazing and inspiring to read. Also if anyone frowns on anything you said that’s a them problem
Hugs, Chelsea! So brave of you to open up and share your story so other moms won’t feel alone or afraid. I honestly don’t think I could ever do it the way you do. You’re actually one of the reasons why I slowly started opening up sometimes too, especially in a public community like this. I’ll always be grateful for you
Therapy help me a ton in coming to terms with just how abusive my ex husband was, and grieving the loss of him while he was alive that it made it easy to kind of work through him actually being gone. It was really hard helping his friends and family through it, since they had never seen the sides of him that I had. I am so sorry that you’ve also gone through loss, but just remember everything that happened & will eventually happen shapes you into the human and mother you are.
You are incredibly brave and strong! It takes a lot of courage to go through what you did. It takes a lot of inner strength to make it out on the other side in a positive way and use your experience to help and share with other mamas. Thank you.
Thankfully I’ve never had an abusive partner but my mom did when I was a kid. It was hard. It took a lot of strength and support to get her to finally leave him.
I’m sorry you had to go through a divorce. I have been through divorce from an abusive relationship, and I can completely understand. It’s crazy how we mourn the loss of a horrible relationship. I don’t think I’ll ever truly understand it.
Don’t be hard on yourself for getting pregnant in a fresh relationship. It could happen to anyone. Bringing a new life into the world is always exciting! I’m glad everything is working out with your now fiance! It sounds like it was meant to be.
That is so true! Sometimes I wonder if we go through hard things to be able to help someone later in life with that same thing. I’ve always been all about helping people too. People often think I’m too nice and mistake that for weakness. A lot of times those who are always nice have been through a lot and just don’t want to be the cause of someone else’s suffering.
I’m sorry to hear about your loss. I too can relate to that from a few years ago when I lost a pregnancy. It’s such a blessing to finally have our babies!
