I started breastfeeding as soon as my baby was born and it didn’t go as I expected at all! It was extremely difficult as a FTM and I did not know a lot about how to breastfeed. After 2 weeks of crying endlessly and my baby crying I finally sought the help of a lactation specialist and I wish I had done this so much sooner! I had to go back a couple times for more education and guidance but around the time my baby was 2 months old, we really got the hang of breastfeeding.

I totally feel you!!! I waited to see a lactation consultant till I was about a month I. Too and I wish I had done it so much sooner as well

There’s such a huge learning curve as a first time mom! I wish lactation consultants were mandatory so that every mother is prepared. There’s such a lack of information coming from the doctors
I’m so glad you were able to get the help that you needed, breastfeeding is challenging and support is so important. I wish first time moms had more information available to them because this is a real need! I’m so glad Momcozy has this group for mommas to help and support each other

I felt this so deeply! Starting off with little to no knowledge really makes it tricky. Social media makes it seem as though you latch a baby and that it- baby is fed. or you throw a pump on and boom full bottles. There’s so much that goes into it and I wish it was talked about more!
