3 months of pain, 3 paediatricians, and 1 amazing lactation consultant…still wasn’t able to breastfeed without pain. Now going with exclusive pumping. I always imagined giving my baby 100% breastmilk, just not this way
Pumping is still beautiful and amazing thing that you can do!
If pumping isn’t painful at all, then I’d have to think that something is going on with the latch. My lactation consultant taught me to put my baby on like he’s eating a sandwich. Multiple pediatricians lactation at the hospital my ob Gyn all said that my baby had a great latch…. But I kept saying how painful was and everybody kept saying that they weren’t sure because the latch was perfect. Finally, a few months and filing discovered that her lodge actually wasn’t as great as everybody had told me and she needed it to actually be deeper. So I had to hold my bras and then match her on like she’s eating a hamburger. I don’t know if that makes sense but once I figured that out it changed a lot.
Pumping is a full time job and you’re doing amazing
