Breastfeeding what helped me

One moment I really struggled with feeding was when my baby was struggling to latch or eat. I started pumping and giving her my milk in bottles and that made her happy. I wasn’t sure why she was getting aggravated and upset when breast feeding. What helped was when I went to a lactation specialist she told me to look for cues and try to feed her before she got too hungry. I was waiting too long! She liked the bottles because the milk came out faster at the times that she didn’t want to wait for it.

I had to attempt to feed her before she was upset even if she wasn’t showing much cues I would try to feed her and she latched perfectly. When I waited to feed her she would get agitated and upset that the milk was not coming out fast enough for her. Feeding a little earlier helped me and slowly I stopped pumping as much and was able to breast feed more! I hope this helps anyone dealing with similar bf issues!!

My baby was the same way, she would get frustrated she wasn’t getting milk out right away. She learned to adapt and started doing the little kneading movements to help get the milk quicker now

So true! My baby does same too. If she started crying a lot, it’s hard to feed her. I need to calm her down first before feeding.
