Burping babies when they get older

do yall have trouble burping your babies?

I know several people that say their babies take a while to burp. Luckily my son has always been a quick burper.

When he was little I would hold his chin in my hand and pat his back, he would usually burp after 3-4 pats.

Now that he is 5 months old I just sit him up after a feed and he almost immediately burps! He is only fed at the breast and “burped” after about 10 minutes of nursing.

Some babies their gas can get trapped. A good way I found was holding my son in two hands one at his bum and the other holding his head up and wiggling is bum slowly in circle movements. It gets all the trapped gas

I’m a bounce dramatically while standing and rocking back and forth kind of gal. My daughter likes to arch her back if I start patting it

It was always such a struggle for me too and I tried all the tricks, but he would eventually get it just took a lot of patting
