When my son was 2 months old he started favoring one side. He would want to be only put to sleep on that side too. By 3 months I noticed a small flat side where his head would rest on my arm. What helped was taking him to a baby chiropractor who discovered tightness in his neck and was able to show me exercise to help his head shape. I am so thankful I was able to catch it so fast. He still has a favorite side but he will nurse from the other as well. He will also fall asleep on both sides.

I’m glad everything got resolved. I am also gonna look into the baby chiropractor idea because I forgot babies can be seen too.

Yes I didn’t know about it for my first. Thankfully I found a good chiropractor for me during pregnancy and they had one in the same office that only sees babies and kids

I did not know they could have a flat side !!?? I learn something new everyday in this community

Yes they can get flat heads. Some babies are more prone to it too. If it doesn’t get fixed they may need a helmet. With my son he had tension in his neck so he couldn’t turn it all the way which caused him to favor one side. It took a few months of therapy to get it to go back to normal shape.
