🐮 lazy right 🐮

I sure wish my right side could share the load of milk production with my left as she is doing all the work! She’s has her days where she is ambitious but for the most part just lazy

Okay righty! It’s time for you to step up lazy girl!:joy:

Am I guessing correctly that your son prefers to nurse from the right side, and maybe that’s why it produces less? I know that’s the case for me

That’s absolutely correct he prefers to nurse from the left I still make him give ol right side some attention just to wake her up from her slumber :joy:

From her slumber! :joy:

My girl plops into my lap for righty, and it’s a battle to get her on the other side. The struggle is real

The struggle is real! He gagged when he tried my other and I swear he’s just being dramatic or funny because he laughed right after that hahah

Oh my goodness! That’s too funny! Mine does the gagging thing too. I think that means the milk is coming out too fast.

Yeah I was told that too!! But I usually express a little before so that doesn’t happen but I might not be doing a good enough job

I don’t see a lot of right side slackers !!!

One thing you can do is lay down and have your baby lay on top of you to nurse. That way gravity is helping prevent it from coming out as fast. It feels so weird at first, but you get used to it

How do you keep baby from not smooshing their face??? I have kinda tried it on accident and he seems to always faceplant and I’m scared he can’t breathe

You just have to get their head to tilt to the side a little bit. And if there’s suction going on, he can breathe. I used to get nervous about that and still do sometimes. Then I’m like oh wait, she wouldn’t be able to nurse if she couldn’t breathe. Just be careful not to fall asleep

Ohhhh I guess that’s a good point !! But he likes holds his breath and then comes up for air like he’s diving under water or something! But like you said maybe i can get him to tilt his head a bit! Thats great advice

Oh no! That’s scary that he’s holding his breath like that! But yeah, as long as one nostril is uncovered enough to get a little air, he will be able to breath ok

Okay I’m going to give it a shot! He’s been really into just rolling around and being wild while feeding so hopefully I can get him to stay in one spot :sob:

THANKYOU so much :folded_hands:

Good luck getting him to stay still. Mine is all over the place too. She finds some weird nursing positions. Upside down is the wildest…it feels so weird too!
