Share the load. I wish we had someone to watch the kids for a little while so my husband could actually go to dinner together. My family is 2 hrs away and my husbands mom and sister live 45 min away and his dad and step mom are taking care of his grandma so they have their hands full. His sister is always super busy and I don’t like asking his mom because I instantly regret it as soon as I ask her to keep the older 2. She missed my son having an allergic reaction to her cats a few weeks ago I am so glad that I walked in to get him when I did.

No really how does one miss that!? what was the reaction like?
His face had a rash and under his eyes were puffy. She had some children’s Benadryl so we gave him that and it cleared up about and hr later

That’s so scary! How could someone miss an allergic reaction like that? I’m glad he’s okay! It so hard to trust anyone outside of family to watch our kids these days. I remember having so many random babysitters when I was younger. But you just can’t trust anybody like that anymore

No you can’t trust anyone like that anymore we had a ton of babysitters too. Any time we ask his mom or sister to keep the kids they say they have to do it together because they can’t handle both by themselves I’m like what do you think I do all day? So it’s just easier not asking and doing it myself but then they get mad that I don’t ask

Wow, it almost sounds like they are trying to get out of watching the kids because both of their schedules would have to line up. It’s not that hard to watch two kids for a few hours. What’s hard is watching them 24/7 like you do!

Aww im so sorry You havent found someone to watch them for a bit. I really hope you do soon and get to enjoy some well needed alone time with your husband. As for the allergies I’ve never seen anyone get them but I could only imagen how noticeable it was considering you immediately noticed. Im glad you walked in at the time that you did.

They are. His mom did help watch my son while I went to OB appointments because they didn’t allow kids but every time I picked him up it was something else so I just quit asking especially after the allergic reaction.

I am too thankfully she had children’s Benadryl and by the time I got him home and gave him a bath it was much better.

That is so frustrating. It’s hard when you can’t trust family to watch them like that. The only person I can trust is my husband.
