Induction Date…

Update so I got an induction date for August 12th today. My original due date is the 19th. But I have an option to choose anywhere between the 12th-19th as long as it’s before the 19th which I’ll be 40w. I’m thinking of choosing Sat the 15th or the 17th just to give baby boy extra time to come on his own. Being that if I get induced he most likely won’t come that day but it depends on my body and baby and can be the day after or so. Question to any mommies that have been induced, how long were you in labor for? ShareTheLoad whatiwishiknew littlemoments

Hopefully, by the time your induction comes, your baby decides to come on his own! That’s actually what happened to me my water broke on the day of my scheduled induction, so they didn’t have to induce me after all. Praying for you and your baby! I’m so excited for you both! :growing_heart:

I’m finally starting to get nervous, it’s so close. I think that’s another reason I want to push the date out more lol.

Hi mama! I hope your baby arrives healthy and safely. I bet you’re feeling a mix of excitement and nerves.

I was induced with my first baby, but I was already having contractions when I went in, so my labor only lasted about 4 hours. Every induction is different, though, so it’s hard to compare experiences. Wishing you a smooth delivery:heart_hands:t2:

Ok hoping this is me. The way I’ve been having contractions or Braxton hicks. I have to be some type of dilated lol

I was required to get induced at 39w5d because I had gestational hypertension for my first baby. I was induced at 8pm on a Thursday and the baby didn’t come until 6pm on Friday. I was not progressing/dilating; the OB had to break my water; and my baby was facing my side and back so I was having side and back pains.

I had the mindset that I want the pregnancy process to be as natural pas possible, but with the realization that if it’s better for my baby and my health, I will do what is necessary to keep us healthy and alive.

I wasn’t induced, but my sister in law was r/t preeclampsia. She was induced on a Friday at around 2pm not dilated and had the ballon put in, doctor broke her water on Saturday morning when she was 5cm, and she didn’t have the baby till about 5am on Sunday. She had a lot of stalled progress!

What they do when they found baby was towards the side and back? Did you deliver naturally or ended up in a C-section?

Wow that was a long labor. The doctor did mention the ballon being an option when explaining the induction process to me. And just different alternatives. Thanks for sharing. :white_heart:

I was induced my last two pregnancies. They did not want to come out :joy::joy::joy:

my daughter was the fastest . I think 12 hours the pushing was a one push came out super fast type :joy: doctor said oops she slipped out :joy:

my son though  he took longer . I needed to be induced because he was growing too big and they were scared it would break my pelvis or he would get stuck . Pushing took me longer since he was 8.12 lbs

But don’t worry girl you will do great :growing_heart:! Sending you prayers for everything to go smooth and fast recovery :growing_heart:

I delivered naturally. The baby rotates when delivered. No issues or complications. I had only a little tear.

I’ve had 4 inductions and each has been less! My first was mane 12 hours from walking into the hospital and giving birth. My last in June was barely 9! They’ve each gotten progressively shorter.:heart: best of luck!!! So exciting.
