I just want to deeply and truly express my gratitude to all the lovely ladies checking on me during this difficult time. I promise you all don’t understand how close to my heart this means and how it’s helping me through the process reading all your comments. I came in at 11am pst, I was 0cm dilated and fully closed. I’m currently on my third pill to soften the cervix, first two were orally, they tried the balloon but I was still very firm and closed although baby did descend, that’s when they inserted the 3rd pill vaginally this time because they said it’s more effective. They are going to come back to check me again in 3hrs to see if I’m at 1cm to do the balloon method again but this time I will be having pain medicine beforehand because that was no joke! Going to try to get some rest now until they come back in. Again thank you all so much, I will update again in the morning, hopefully I should be 3-4cm

Oh mama!!! That all sounds like ALOT!! I’ve never had the ballon before, I am here with you all along the way! Get some much deserved rest ! Can’t wait for the updates

Ask them if they dont have ocytocin to give you through the perf. It works quicker than pills.

I hope soon mamma!! I was fully closed when I came in and the “getting started” felt like an entirely. The fooley balloon was awfullll and didn’t work. They are not very truthful about who feels when they tell you about it.

My heart absolutely goes out to you. That balloon is no joke. I honestly wish I had the epidural before hand because 50 then 100 if fent did not touch that pain and contractions around the balloon after. I can’t honestly say the insertion of the balloon and contractions after were the worst pain of my life. I hope this goes so much faster for you and baby remains healthy. My last delivery (July) we tried Pitocin, misoprostol, and finally Cervidil… after 3 long days they inserted cervidil and that stuff made me go from 0-6 in 4 hours

Yes the fent did absolutely nothing, and those contractions with the balloon in were terrible. I barely feel anything with it out. Still trying to get him out slowly but surely.
I think cervidil is what they gave me when I first came in, 3xs. On day two and currently on Pitocin.
I think it’s bad because I expected to be at least some sort of dilated and felt depleted with I was 0cm and completely closed.
