Me

One small thing that still helps me feel like me after becoming a mom would be taking an hour to myself each day, some days it’s a night when the kiddos go to bed I take a long relaxing shower, others it’s in the morning on the front porch with a coffee before the kids get up for the day.

As much as I love being a mom taking just 1hr a day to myself has helped me still feel like I have an identity and not just a mom.

Don’t ever feel guilty for taking a moment to yourself. Remember you are doing amazing and give yourself grace :heart_hands:t3::heart_hands:t3:

That is so true! I’m such an introvert and I require me time to recharge from being so overstimulated all the time. I don’t get it nearly as often as I’d like

Im 25 and have 0 friends , only family I have that live close by work on the road M-F. So being with just my kiddos all day with no other adult interaction has has made me not like going anywhere. But sometimes I do need just a moment of not being needed

I have been using momcozys shower steamers, I never get to stay in there too long so I break them in half but it works for me, I get double the use lol . But just a moment of pure silence other then the water running is so relaxing!

DO IT, I promise you won’t regret it!!

We definitely do! We all deserve a small break! A moment to feel like more than just a mom

I can relate to that. I have 1 friend, but she lives out of state. The only places I really go are on walks or to the store. I have been pretty antisocial most of my life because I just don’t like the drama or fake people…I’m more about focusing on the important things in life and being positive. Not that all girls are fake or dramatic, but there’s a lot of them. I just don’t have the mental energy for bs. I have been wanting to get out and make some mom friends here lately though. I’d love to find someone with a kid my daughter’s age. It’s going to take some effort, but one of these days I’ll get motivated enough lol. Or maybe I’ll just wait until she’s old enough to enroll in gymnastics/tumbling in another 6 months and just meet other moms that way.

Same! I live in a town where it’s always something , iykyk  but we have a Facebook group for our town called “Moms of {town}” where a lot of moms connect with others. I just honestly haven’t even put myself out there. With 5 kids my life seems so busy already and a lot of people my age don’t have 5 kids already and still want to be out partying. That part of my life has passed so now I just stay home inside and with my kiddos

I can imagine your probably are pretty busy with 5 kids! It’s got to be hard to find time to yourself, let alone load up the car and go meet some random moms! Its definitely nice to have a refreshing moment to yourself. It’s awesome that you are taking an hour every day to recharge!
