Motherhood has expanded my life by teaching me to slow down and truly appreciate the little things. This is also our last baby, so all of her firsts are my lasts. I catch myself not saying, “I can’t wait until she…” like I used to with my first two babies. That’s because I don’t want to rush this time. I want to soak in the cuddles, the little milestones, the firsts, and even the ordinary moments because I know how quickly they pass.
My world feels fuller and has taught me that I don’t always have to look forward to the next stage. It’s going to come. Sometimes, I just want to stay right here and cherish the stage I’m in. To Cherish the most time means I need “more time”
It goes by in a blink and for me I struggled a lot in the beginning with postpartum I thought it would last forever and really it was such a short moment and now he’s almost a year
Thankyou for this is such a important reminder to just live in the moment and cherish it all
I feel a little guilty when I think about my second because I was pregnant with my third during so much of his first year going into his second. I feel like his baby years have gone by so much faster than my first’s, and even faster than my baby’s now.
I’m trying so hard to slow down, cherish her little moments, and at the same time be just as present with him because I don’t want to feel like I missed those moments either. It’s such a hard juggle having two under two. Im constantly being pulled in two directions, trying to soak in every stage while also just trying to keep up.
