My tenth wish 🥛 🐄

That my supply stays constant! I have had so many ups! And so many downs the past month from being sick :frowning: It really is an emotional roller coaster

I really relate to this post! Between high stress and illness recently, hoping my milk supply continues to stay strong! Breastfeeding is no joke and is a job in itself!

It sucks how we produce less milk when we are sick. It takes a couple weeks to get back to normal supply for me after being sick

I hate how so many things can effect your supply and it takes a little while to get it back up

Oh I hope it comes back soon !! It will !!! Trust me it’s so hard and one of the hardest jobs I’ve had but it definitely pays off eventually

Yeah this has been a journey !!! But it’s looking up right now I just hope it stays that way

Sick and stressed  so many things can just make supply drop it’s such a bummer !!!

It’s crazy how many things can affect milk supply. I discovered that cough drops affect milk supply because of the methol in them. And any nasal decongestant too. We just have to suffer through the sick and hope our supply doesn’t dip too much from the sickness alone.

I remember I would look up everything and my partner thought I was crazy until I was right! He was like seriously? Decongestant?? yes sir and I have horrible allergies :sob::tired_face::joy:

Thankyou for the good milk energies :sparkles::four_leaf_clover:

That must be rough with bad allergies! Ive been able to take Claritin without any problems, maybe that could work for you. I found out about decongestant the hard way. I wish I had thought to look it up beforehand. My doctor said it was safe for breastfeeding mothers to take decongestant! Safe, maybe. But your milk supply goes down. My baby did the craziest jerking motion with her entire body and made a panicky sound when one of my breasts ran out of milk when we were sick at 2 months old. I was so afraid I wasn’t going to be able to breastfeed anymore. Luckily it worked itself out though when I stopped taking the medicine

Sorry to hear that. Even though your supply hasn’t been constant, I love seeing you consistently post and comment in this community, making other mamas feel supported and seen. Your fun and kind words mean so much to me, and I’m sure other moms feel the same way about you too. Hugs

Stress and being sick can lower milk supply. I hope we can get through this. Taking it slow helps.

The transition on that sentiment was so smooth and also so incredibly nice. That means so much to be you have no idea! You can’t have me tearing up over here at 4 am :joy::sob::heart:

Seriously tho that means the world I love supporting moms, we need community and positivity and I feel it can be hard to find that sometimes especially in the new stages and even later stages of motherhood!!

Yes exactly slowing down and taking it a day at a time hopefully can help! Its funny how it works because stress can drop supply but then when the supply drops it induces more stress :sob: I try to remind myself that but it’s hard in the moment

That happened to me!!! This duo was during a sick episode for my baby as well I was like OHHHH GREAT TIMING !!!

I’m so so happy it went back up for you phew and good looking out I’ll look up Claritin I didn’t even think about tha actually that is GREAT ADVICE you are a GEM :gem_stone:
