I want to be honest here about my breastfeeding journey !
I love breastfeeding! For me it just comes so naturally!! But what doesn’t come naturally for me is the pumping I pumped a decent amount of milk and still do to relief some engorged tension. I pumped and got discouraged at first because I tried to do tiktoks of it and kept seeing I wasn’t getting as much ounces as all these viral ladies on there. So I stopped recording as much and wouldn’t post them because I didn’t want it affecting my mental health! Which it did but with my boyfriends support we got through that . But let’s not get off track here
So my biggest tip on pumping would be to stay more consistent on pumping and feeding baby boy with the baby bottle . I would have been able to go back to work if I did . Coming from a family that is struggling at times in California is no bueno . But we tried so hard he just wouldn’t take it . We tried so many brands of baby bottles . I even checked my milk to see if it’s because of high lipase. I would do the trick of vanilla free alcohol of course and nothing .
So for next baby this journey will be so much different. Already loving all the tips I see and saved them on my notes Happy breastfeeding month ladies
Pumping is so hard. I have never been able to fill up an whole pump like some mamas. As long as it’s enough for my son, I’m happy. It’s especially hard when your son refuses the bottle! Have you tried a regular cup or sippy cup. Sometimes something completely different might help.
Pumping is so hard and can be so discouraging when you see mommas posting that they are filling their pumps each time and filling freezers. What you are pumping is a normal amount and a lot of them don’t post that they post what they want you to see. Your doing a great job momma and don’t be discouraged to post on your TikTok about it because you might reach one momma who needs to know that this is normal and it’s ok not to have an oversupply.
