Another thing that helped me while breastfeeding was reminding myself that not only was this a whole new experience for me, but also for my brand new baby. I was unable to find a way to get my son to nurse, and at first it was really really frustrating and discouraging. You’re full of all of these hormones and thoughts of “this is supposed to be so easy why isn’t it working for us.” I had to constantly remind myself that not only did I not know what the heck I was doing, my son also had NO CLUE what was going on either 
in the moment, it’s so hard to not get discouraged and feel like everything you’re doing is wrong. All babies and boobies are different and it’s a learning curve every single time, and that’s okay!! Take it slow, set the bar low, and remind yourself that you and baby are doing great. It took a few months, but I was finally able to get Finn to latch on my own, and it was smooooth sailing after that 
This perspective is so beautiful and so true! It’s such a reminder that both mom and baby are learning this together for the very first time. So glad things turned around for you and Finn!

Oh yes, it’s all new and I love saying we are learning and growing alongside my baby!!! Giving ourself grace to do this makes such a world of a difference

Everyone always preaches “it’ll all click once they’re here” and that unfortunately isn’t the case for everyone
