Wish I knew

One of the things that I wish I knew was that you can see a lactation consultant before giving birth. I had no clue that was a thing and didn’t really see an LC till I was 11 weeks postpartum. Things were a haze after birth and I feel like seeing an LC before birth would have prepared me better. I would have known when to start pumping and the different breastfeeding positions!

I wish drs would make this known to try and set moms up for success!

I totally agree. There needs to be more educated on breastfeeding and what to expect.

Yes! Why is this not standard protocol at OB appointments?! Trying to learn breastfeeding positions while completely exhausted is so tough. This is such valuable advice for expectant mamas! :flexed_biceps:

This should definetly be a thing! You are overwhelmed and trying to figure things out and heal when you have a baby and I wish moms were better educated on breastfeeding/pumping it would make a big difference
