Don’t panic over a Supply dip

One thing I hope this Support List doesn’t leave out is to not panic every time your supply dips. Sometimes you have a dip in supply and it’s normal and can be due to many different factors such as baby sleeping through the night, you being sick, not drinking enough water, not eating enough, missing a pump, stress, not getting enough sleep or even getting your period. It will most likely come back in a few days just stay consistent with your pumping and latch baby as much as you can to signal your body to make more milk. Don’t panic if your breast change and feel softer when they are full it is normal as your milk regulates and doesn’t mean that you aren’t making enough milk anymore. Also just because your baby is cluster feeding doesn’t mean that you aren’t making enough milk. It is completely normal for a newborn to cluster feed because their tummy’s are so tiny. Babies might also cluster feed when they are going through a growth spurt, have a developmental leap, or just want to comfort feed.
