Period Affects milk supply

:cherry_blossom:From the beginning of breastfeeding journeyi have noticed that period can affect my milk supply!

Then i realized that some breastfeeding moms notice a temporary drop in milk output a few days before or during their period. You may also notice a slower let-down or that your baby wants to nurse more often.

:sparkles:So, my tips:

• Keep breastfeeding or pumping regularly.

• Stay hydrated and eat well.

• Rest whenever you can.

• Don’t panic—your supply usually returns to normal after your period.

Every body is different, so be gentle with yourself.

A temporary dip doesn’t mean your breastfeeding journey is ending. :breast_feeding:t2::two_hearts:

Exactly! Don’t give up if you see a dip in your supply. It will return

Yes I love this. Such a great reminder.:white_heart:

Yessss this is such a good reminder!! I feel like it’s so easy to see a drop in output and immediately panic like “omg what am I doing wrong” :sob: When really sometimes our bodies are just doing their thinggg. I love the reminder to keep nursing or pumping, eat, drink your water and REST when you can. That last one is so hard tho :joy: A temporary dip doesnt mean your supply is gone or that you’re doing anything wrong. Be gentle with yourself mama

Oh this hits home for me ong thankyou for sharing this with us!

Such an important tip! When I got my cycle back, I experienced that dip in supply and started freaking out! I had no idea that’s normal and it would come right back to normal!
