Family night time and latching help

What helped me was having a family member who was a retired maternity nurse come stay at our house for a few days. She helped me learn what a proper latch and how to get and teach my son how to latch properly. She also would stay up and take care of my baby while I slept. She would wake me up for a feeding and allow me to go back to bed. This was a huge blessing as I was a new mom and had no idea what I was doing. I was able to get better sleep to heal.
