What word of advice would you give yourself before you became a mother?
Be patient and kind with yourself! You are the hardest on yourself than anyone else
Hi, welcome to the community. ![]()
I would tell myself that no mom is perfect and don’t try so hard to be one. Motherhood it’s about learning and that means that mistakes will happen, but you learn from them and you learn how to be a better mom.
I would also tell myself to have plenty of my favorite sweets and snacks to treat myself once in a while

To take a breath everything is new and it can be scary but it’s going to be alright we are going to learn how to manage! Enjoy the little moments because they go by so fast
If someone offers to help, take it. If you need help, ask for it. You need rest. You need to take a relaxing shower alone. You need time for you.
Give grace
Ask for help
Meal prep or ask others to meal prep before baby comes
It’s ok to take a break without feeling guilty.
Make time for yourself. Don’t let yourself feel like you’re inconveniencing someone because you need time to be YOU again. I’ve really struggled with this - especially after baby #2
So accurate!!!
Be kind to yourself, get rest, ask for help, be open with how you’re feeling so others can help you when you need it
To take it day by day and give yourself grace because you and your baby are learning eachother and what works best for yall. It’s ok to ask for help it doesn’t mean you aren’t capable you are one person and you can’t do it all and shouldn’t have to. Enjoy the little moments because it goes by so fast!
