What I wish for

Today I wish that I can afford a pump that will drain me in less than 45-60 min. These late night pumps or having to be attached to a pump for nearly 2 hours when my little one is clung to me 24/7 is very difficult. I’ve already tried 4 pumps and can’t afford to keep buying them. I’ve tried different settings, and everything.

I will say, though I have a lot of pumps.. several wearables and good ones! But my spectra is still my main pump! Have you double checked your flange size is correct? Pumping spray? Shorter pumps but more frequent may be better approach and increase supply.

Yes I’ve done all that. I use my spectra primarily. This is the difference between 22 min and 46 mins. I’ve tried the spectra, Phillips avent, momcozy v1 and m9

Oh my heart goes out to you!!! I hope and wish for this too for you !! Have your tried a lactation wand? The warning and massage ones? I’m sure but that helps me let down a little faster!!

I am the same way! I have to pump 30 on 10 off and then 10 on again to feel even partly empty! I wish this for both of us. I have also tried several pumps. My husband said no more

I wish this for you too. Because wearables are expensive for sure. I highly recommend the MomCozy rolling lactation massager let me just tell you that thing works so good and I get at least 3 let downs in less then 15 mins when I use it.

Oh bummer!! Maybe try a longer “stimulation” bacon mode. I hope I can get shorter for you if it does that with the spectra, I’m not sure any pump will be do better but I could be wrong. I hope it gets shorter for you soon!!!

I’ve tried the momcozy massagers, I honestly didn’t notice a difference in my letdown.

It wasn’t like this always, but my baby latched so well for a few weeks and now I can’t be emptied for the life of me

My baby latched for a few weeks and now my let down isn’t the same. Before the only think that would pump me is the stimulation mode, now it’s a whole process

I haven’t tried that one specifically but another momcozy massager. Do you know if it works well with big breasts? I’m a K :face_with_peeking_eye:

They are so expensive. I wish it was an easy fix :sob::sob:

That’s a long time. Have you seen a lactation consultant? It might be worth checking out. There’s so much advice on the internet, and there’s no one size fits all solution. Flange size is important too…if I use the wrong size, I get only 1 oz per side in 30 minutes. With the right size, I get 3-4 oz per side

Yes I’ve seen so many lactation consultants they are stumped and have nothing left to offer me in the way of advice

Darn, I’m sorry to hear they didn’t have any good options for you. I hope you find some advice that works.

Pumping was honestly one of the hardest parts for me too. My output was all over the place, and I kept thinking something was wrong. Sometimes it ended up being flange size and timing more than the pump itself.

I recommend making sure your flange is correct. I was using 19 mm inserts for my air 1s and I was only getting almost 2 ounces per session and then I decided to stick with my 24 mm flanges and I’m getting 4 ounces each session.

I’ve been measured a few times and I’m right between a 17-19mm for the right and a 19-21mm for my left. I’ve tried other sizes and I get the most with a 19mm and a 21mm but the problem is my biggest letdown doesn’t come until around 40 minutes pumping.
